SASSA beneficiaries should know that they can’t withdraw their R350 SRD grant from Postbank until their outage has been fixed.
Unfortunately those who have their SASSA R350 payments deposited directly into their Postbank accounts won’t be able to withdraw their money at the moment.
This is due to Postbank been affected by a massive outage over the past 24 hours which has made it impossible for R350 SRD beneficiaries to withdraw their grants.
Furthermore, the technical issues have affected all ATMs, retail branches as well as transactions in the branches themselves according to Postbank.
However, those R350 SRD beneficiaries who usually get their grants through the Postbank SASSA gold card will still be able to access their funds through ATMs.
The impact of this is massive for the poor and destitute who can’t withdraw R350 grant from Postbank when they need it most.
Many of the more than 10 million SRD grant applicants, who submitted their new SASSA R350 grant applications, for the latest round of payments will not be able to withdraw their grants until the fault is rectified.
However, those beneficiaries who chose to have their SRD payment made into a pre-existing bank account that they have with another bank will still be able to access their grants.
It is also worth noting that R350 SRD applicants can choose these other options for their SASSA payments to get their grants.
